Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team at Recooty. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial compressed air systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Travel to client sites to troubleshoot and maintain industrial compressed air systems, various types of air dryers, and other air system components.
  2. Perform diagnostics and determine causes for malfunctions on defective compressed air equipment and mechanical equipment.
  3. Provide failure analysis and equipment/system recommendations to improve reliability and/or performance.
  4. Carry out service, maintenance, and repair work on all types of compressed air equipment.
  5. Carry out service, maintenance, and repair work on all types of mechanical equipment.
  6. Consult with and advise clients on compressed air equipment needs, maintenance, and repairs.
  7. Liaise with customers in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  8. Carry out installation and commissioning of compressed air products.
  9. Read and comprehend operational manuals, electrical schematics, and parts breakdowns.
  10. Follow provided business requirements and designs as close as possible.
  11. Document service and installation activities by completing work orders for each job.
  12. Provide feedback to senior team members on the working conditions on/offsite.
  13. Monitor stock levels in your service vehicle, advising of low levels immediately to ensure your work is carried out as efficiently as possible.
  14. Complete servicing on company vehicles as required.
  15. Research and keep up to date with any industry standards and best practices necessary to complete any tasks.
  16. Research potential business leads and develop a sales approach to acquire more customers when required.
  17. Work in conjunction with the directors to drive business and service growth.
  18. Perform a broad range of skilled applications and evaluate and analyse current practices to improve the operational functions of the business.
  19. Develop new criteria and procedures for performing current practices.
  20. Provide leadership in a team leader role and provide guidance to others in the application and planning of skills.
  21. Provide technical assistance over the phone to other staff and customers.
  22. Assist in the search of future trainees and office staff.
  23. Follow all reasonable instructions given to you by any of the company's directors & associates.
  24. Complete all assigned tasks to a reasonable standard as determined by the business.
  25. Notify the directors where your experience with a set programming language necessary for a task would interfere with the quality and speed with which you could complete the task.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience as Compressed Air Service Technician – preferably at least 3 years experience.
  2. Holds a current Cert III or higher in a mechanical, engineering, electrical trade.
  3. Holds a White Card.
  4. Able to operate a forklift.
  5. Keep up to date with new procedures in the industry.
  6. Good ability to conduct diagnostic troubleshooting is a must.
  7. Extensive amount of customer knowledge (site entry requirements, etc).
  8. Holds a valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
