Service Technician

This is an exciting opportunity to join Vestas, the world's leading wind energy solutions provider, as a Service Technician at our Wambo Wind Farm site. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of wind turbines, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities- Undertake scheduled service and reactive maintenance on wind turbines as required
- Respond to site calls outside normal working hours to undertake reactive maintenance
- Maintain all company vehicles and plant and equipment in good condition
- Operate HV and LV systems within the limits of training and authorisation
- Ensure all tasks are undertaken in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
- Undertake site inductions and comply with OH&S legislation
- Meet the requirements of the SMA (Service Maintenance Agreement)
- Participate in safety meetings and wear required Personal Protective Equipment
- A-Grade Electrical license
- Full clean driving license
- Literacy with PC and modern technologies
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of PLC and/or SCADA systems
- Motivation to learn new skills and thrive in a growing industry
- Understanding of safety principles and willingness to adhere to and drive safety compliance
- Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
- Proficient in the use of various hand tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a small team
