Early Childhood Educator - Casual Position

Are you a passionate and experienced educator committed to supporting children and families in need? We are seeking Certificate III, Diploma, and Early Childhood Teacher-qualified educators to join our casual pool.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families in our community. As an additional educator, you will work alongside teams outside of ratio in some of our early years services to support children with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • SUPPORTING THE DELIVERY OF HIGH-QUALITY, PLAY-BASED PROGRAMS ALIGNED WITH THE NQF AND VEYLDF.
  • DOCUMENTING CHILDREN'S LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT, AND CONTRIBUTING TO GOAL SETTING.
  • APPLYING TRAUMA-INFORMED PRACTICES IN DAILY ROUTINES AND INTERACTIONS.
  • BUILDING WARM, RESPECTFUL, AND INTENTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.
  • WORKING COLLABORATIVELY WITH A DEDICATED AND SUPPORTIVE TEAM.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A Certificate III, Diploma, or Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood) qualification (recognised by the Department of Education and Training).
  • Regular availability up to 4 days per week.
  • At least 2–3 years' experience in early childhood education in permanent roles (extensive casual experience also considered).
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practices, the NQF, Child Safe Standards, and early childhood frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
