We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Director to join our organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial and contract administration, with experience leading commercial functions in infrastructure projects.
The role will involve promoting and encouraging senior management and project teams to implement effective commercial practices. This will include updating the procurement register, supporting and leading Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) negotiations, and resolving commercial issues with Design Nominal Outputs (DNOPs).
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Business, or other associated disciplines. Postgraduate qualifications are also highly regarded.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated Tier 1 experience in commercial and contract administration, gained on construction, engineering, or associated projects. They will also possess advanced skills in procedures for project contract administration, general business administration, and project management.
- Promote and encourage senior management and project teams to implement effective commercial practices.
- Update the procurement register for design teams and commercial registers.
- Support and lead CSA negotiations, comments, and responses.
- Resolve commercial issues with DNOPs, including budget reallocation and transfers.
- Filling out recommendation for award forms and purchase order forms.
- Interface with Felix (procurement) and Viewpoint (invoicing).
- Interface with Finance, receiving, reviewing, and processing invoices.
- Commercial reviews - DNOP and other consultant cost tracking & health checks.
- Extract the design budget out of CATs, reviewing, and adjusting cost codes appropriately to match consultants and budgets.
- Management of commercial issues, variations, and letters.
- Management & tracking of temp works design and proof engineer costs against cost codes.
- Design Management Team – Histogram and Management of Resources to Budget.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Law, Commerce, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Business, or other associated disciplines.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Business, Construction, Property, Quantity Surveying, Law, or other associated disciplines.
- Demonstrated Tier 1 experience in commercial and contract administration on construction, engineering, or associated projects.
- Advanced skills in procedures for project contract administration, general business administration, and project management.
