Job Title: Land Management Specialist

We are seeking a motivated professional to join our Property Team as a Land Management Specialist.

  • This position plays a key role in overseeing the development, updating, and implementation of plans for land management across the local government area.
About the Role
  • The successful candidate will lead the preparation of plans for community-managed land and Crown Land under the appointed manager's jurisdiction.
  • Undertake research, analysis, and review of land to understand site permissibility, characteristics, changes to population, and respective user needs to develop evidence-based plans.
  • Engage with various stakeholders through workshops to gather input and feedback on draft documents in compliance with legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of plans for community-managed land and Crown Land under the appointed manager's jurisdiction.
  • Undertake research, analysis, and review of land to understand site permissibility, characteristics, changes to population, and respective user needs to develop evidence-based plans.
  • Develop and prepare correspondence, presentations, reports, and briefing papers in relation to land management plans.
  • Oversee the implementation of plans by other teams within the organization.
Requirements
  • Qualifications relevant to the role, such as law, land economy, valuation, and/or planning;
  • Class C Driver's Licence;
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and administrative skills, along with an ability to multitask and apply problem-solving approaches to work.
