Job Title: Debt Recovery Specialist

Melton City Council is seeking a skilled Debt Recovery Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the Revenue Collection Team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely payment of rates and other financial obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate legal action when required in accordance with current policies and practices.
  • Process Financial Hardship Applications in a timely manner and recommend appropriate actions for Finance Manager's approval.
  • Pay invoices from service providers.
Requirements:
  • Degree or Diploma in administration or a related field with some experience or a lesser formal qualification with relevant debt recovery experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of revenue collection relating to local government and other relevant acts and regulations.
  • Good working knowledge of property and rating processes and systems.
