Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel
About the RoleWe are seeking a senior lawyer to lead our Australian legal team, including managing at least 3 direct reports.
The role involves providing legal advice across company law, M&A, project finance, development, construction, and operations concerning Australian assets.
Main Responsibilities:- Lead the Australian legal team, managing at least 3 direct reports.
- Provide legal advice on company law, M&A, project finance, development, construction, and operations concerning Australian assets.
- Coordinate with authorities, project partners, and third parties related to development, construction, and operation of assets.
- Negotiate development, construction, and operations contracts, and advise internally.
- Ensure compliance with financing arrangements, liaise with lenders, and handle relevant documentation.
- Manage company books and advise on corporate and secretarial matters.
- Assist with reorganizations, restructurings, and liquidations of Australian entities.
- Collaborate with UK-based legal teams and external counsel as needed.
- Engage external legal experts for specialized advice.
- Support development of in-house legal expertise and internal policies.
- Deliver clear legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
- Advise on legal changes in Australia affecting the business.
