The Operations Director will play a key role in leading our operations team in Kalgoorlie, WA, focusing on driving client and customer satisfaction, promoting safety and well-being, and delivering financial and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of compliant and customer-focused waste services across multiple sites
  • Provide frontline operational and safety leadership to a team of 23 Operators
  • Identify and deliver operational improvements and exceed key performance benchmarks
  • Manage and prepare detailed reports on all operational activities
  • Conduct thorough incident investigations utilising well-established investigation techniques
  • Rostering of operators and scheduling of fleet based on availability, jobs/customer requirements and fleet maintenance/service requirements

About You

You will be a people-focused person with well-developed frontline leadership skills and be able to cover a rotating shift pattern to provide operational supervision from 6am – 3pm, Monday – Friday.

  • HR license is desirable, but not essential
  • Previous operational leadership experience is essential
  • An uncompromising commitment to safety-first culture
  • Proficiency with health and safety management systems
  • Road transport, logistics and/or waste management experience will be highly regarded, but a willingness to learn and a supportive attitude goes a long way to being successful in the role.
