Job Title: Clinical Support Specialist

Job Description:

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for assisting medical practitioners with patient care and administrative tasks. Your key responsibilities will include obtaining and recording patient medical histories, vitals, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality.

  • You will also coordinate the daily administrative activities, including scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and patient medical record maintenance.
  • Additionally, you will prepare treatment rooms for clinical examinations and assist practitioners with medical procedures and other patient care.
  • Preparation and administration of medications for patients as directed by physicians is also a critical aspect of this role.
  • Verification of patient information by interviewing the patient, recording their medical history, and confirming the purpose of visit will be an essential part of your duties.
  • Counselling patients by transmitting physician orders and questions about surgery is another vital function of this position.
  • Assistance to the nurse and office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed is also required.
Key Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Previous experience in a healthcare setting or a related field would be highly beneficial.
