Sustainability Strategy Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Strategy Lead to join our Corporate Affairs team at Wesfarmers. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the commercialisation of sustainability strategies and contributing to our company's long-term focus on sustainable value creation.
Key Responsibilities- Apply commercial and strategic thinking to identify and assess strategies to manage sustainability-related opportunities and risks.
- Undertake analysis and modelling to assess the strategic and financial impact of initiatives and projects.
- Partner with our businesses to drive the implementation of sustainability strategies.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations.
- Establish strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the coordination of Wesfarmers' knowledge-sharing forums.
- Stay up to date with best practice and trends.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience, ideally within a large complex environment.
- Experience and knowledge of sustainability, which may include operational experience in GHD emissions, nature or human rights.
- Strong commercial and business skills including experience in commercial and financial analysis.
- Curiosity and an ability to think creatively to identify and analyse potential opportunities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team (including leading workstreams or projects), using your leadership skills to influence outcomes.
- Strong communication, influencing and presentation skills which enable you to communicate complex concepts simply and effectively.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Sustainability, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or Law).
