We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mining Engineer to join our team at Coronado Global Resources Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing short-term scheduling, reconciliation, optimization, and continuous improvement at our Curragh Mine.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement short-term mine schedules to ensure optimal production and safety outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Short Term Scheduling Team to identify and implement process improvements.
- Utilize mining software programs such as SPRY to analyze and optimize mine operations.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the production team to ensure compliance with safety and production standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of open cut coal operations and experience in mine engineering disciplines.
- Working knowledge of mining software programs such as SPRY.
- Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
