We are seeking a dynamic leader to join our Defence Base Services team at RAAF Base Tindal in the Northern Territory. As a Hospitality and Catering Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting a strong food and beverage team to achieve excellence in service standards.

The successful candidate will have strong planning and organisational skills, with proven experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes and have a sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations.

The estimated salary for this position is around $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Some key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Responsible for the ongoing training and rosters of staff
  • Co-ordinate the monthly bar & beverage stocktake, complete reports accurately & submit as per the end of month time schedule/calendar issued.
  • Control, monitor & complete weekly rosters, in conjunction with F&B Staff ensure these rosters fall within budgetary constraint & contractual requirements.
  • Attend & conduct regular pre-starts.
  • Input of all meal pass data into actual/forecast spreadsheet in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that messes are completing the buffet compliance & all toolboxes etc are uploaded into IMS

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience of working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Food Safety for Supervisors certification (training provided by employer) desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service.
