Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Environmental Consultant to join our growing and well-respected Environmental Management, Permitting & Compliance team from our established Newcastle office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with our diverse range of clients and internal SLR team members.
  • Conduct compliance auditing and reporting.
  • Potential for secondment placements.
  • Licence variation and reporting.
  • Assist with the development of environmental management plans.
  • Assist in environmental monitoring across a range of areas such as surface water, groundwater, dust, traffic, and more.
  • Work within and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors.
  • Deliver clear and precise, high-quality reports.
  • Occasional travel to undertake field studies.
Requirements
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years + experience in Environmental Science, preferably in Consulting.
  • The ability to work autonomously and the drive to learn from a variety of exciting projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
  • Working knowledge of NSW environmental legislation and policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Experience in the mining, infrastructure, power, and/or agribusiness sectors is highly valued but not a prerequisite.
  • Competencies for environmental auditing, risk management, and incident investigation are highly valued but not a prerequisite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Consulting software and intermediate-advanced Excel skills.
  • Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.
