Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated Environmental Consultant to join our growing and well-respected Environmental Management, Permitting & Compliance team from our established Newcastle office.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain effective relationships with our diverse range of clients and internal SLR team members.
- Conduct compliance auditing and reporting.
- Potential for secondment placements.
- Licence variation and reporting.
- Assist with the development of environmental management plans.
- Assist in environmental monitoring across a range of areas such as surface water, groundwater, dust, traffic, and more.
- Work within and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors.
- Deliver clear and precise, high-quality reports.
- Occasional travel to undertake field studies.
- A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years + experience in Environmental Science, preferably in Consulting.
- The ability to work autonomously and the drive to learn from a variety of exciting projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing multidisciplinary projects.
- Working knowledge of NSW environmental legislation and policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Experience in the mining, infrastructure, power, and/or agribusiness sectors is highly valued but not a prerequisite.
- Competencies for environmental auditing, risk management, and incident investigation are highly valued but not a prerequisite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Consulting software and intermediate-advanced Excel skills.
- Australian Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.
