Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Logistics Specialist to join our team at Sikorsky Australia.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical logistics support for the UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct spares assessment and management of inventory master data, including cataloguing and codification activities to ensure ERP data is current and accurate.
  • Provide high-level advice and guidance to stakeholders regarding UH-60M Black Hawk cataloguing and codification activities.
  • Maintain existing catalogue data to ensure compliance with policy, processes, and procedures that support the acquisition and sustainment of equipment.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems and implement effective approved solutions.
  • Analyse the repairability of parts and components, and conduct obsolescence management.
  • Interpret aircraft technical manuals, specifications, and standards, and develop technical assessments to identify/validate alternate parts/equipment.
  • Build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at the operational and business unit level.
  • Produce accurate status reports to meet reporting requirements.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Aeroskills - Avionics, Mechanical, Structures, etc.) from a recognised institution (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current Defence materiel logistics policies and application of them in the support of sustainment and acquisition activities.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting inventory analysis, codification, and cataloguing functions utilising Defence systems or proven experience utilising similar systems.
  • Experience in the use of Defence aviation maintenance and logistics management tools such as CAMM2, ADAASS, and MILIS (Soon to be SAP).
