Family Violence Specialist

About this role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Violence Specialist to provide support and advocacy to individuals and families affected by family violence.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, working collaboratively with local services and organizations to enhance the delivery of case management services.

As a Family Violence Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing individual and group support to clients who have experienced family violence;
  • Developing and implementing strategies to prevent family violence in our community;
  • Building relationships with local services and organizations to enhance the delivery of case management services;
  • Conducting regular home visits and assessments to ensure client needs are met.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in social work, community development or a related field;
  • Experience working with Aboriginal communities and individuals;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Employee Working with Children Check and National Police Records Check required.
