We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cafe Attendant to join our cafe team.

Job Description:

Cafe Attendants play a vital role in creating a magical atmosphere for our guests. They will be responsible for ensuring a clean environment, preparing drinks and food, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Wipe down tables and seats with a clean, damp cloth soaked in sanitizer solution.
  • Scrape and pre-rinse dirty dishes, properly arranging them in the correct section of the dish pit for the dishwasher.
  • Set tables with clean condiments, linens and other items as needed.
  • Serve water, soft drinks, coffee and juice as well as bread and butter to customers.
  • Clean and stock throughout the cafe as necessary throughout your shift.
  • Making Coffee, warm up and plate up easy food like sandwiches, pies, quiche and etc.
  • Perform janitorial duties as needed when time permits, such as cleaning work stations, mopping up spills and sweeping during your shift.
  • Polish and clean walls, shelves, furniture and equipment throughout the establishment during shift when time permits.

Job Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong written and oral English communication skills
  • Able to deal with elderly customers and diffuse situations effectively
  • Prior experience in the food service industry and coffee making is desirable
  • Knowledge of how to use dishwashing machines is essential

Working Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week, working Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 2pm.
