As a vital member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring all patients who present to the service are identified as being appropriate for the service, triaged promptly and provided with frontline care in collaboration with medical practitioners.

The ideal candidate will have AHPRA registration, experience in triage within an emergency department or remote nursing, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Your Responsibilities- Triage patients who present to the urgent care service
- Conduct comprehensive and accurate nursing triage
- Act promptly for patients requiring emergency escalation or due to deterioration
- Perform procedural work such as suturing and plastering
- Deliver high-quality, person-centered care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and medical practitioners
- AHPRA Registered Nurse
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Working with Children Check and National Police Check required
- Previous experience in triage within an emergency department, remote nursing, or ICU preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a high level of critical thinking
- Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately
