Job Description:We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team at the Rosebud depot. As a key member of our workshop, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet remains safe and reliable.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake services
- Fulfill preventative maintenance schedules to prevent vehicle breakdowns
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with buses
- Test drive vehicles to identify malfunctions
- Conduct minor to major engine repairs
- Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent Trade Qualification)
- Completed a 4-year apprenticeship
- Proven experience working with trucks or buses
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A high regard for safety and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to handle pressure and work well under deadlines
- Current MR or HR licence (not essential)
- Sustainable employment in a growing industry
