Diesel Mechanic for Fleet Maintenance

The Position:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our Rosebud workshop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and reliable fleet through regular inspections and preventative maintenance
- Perform general services including oil, filter, and brake changes
- Fulfill scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Detect and repair malfunctions in buses
- Conduct test drives to diagnose vehicle issues
- Carry out minor to major engine repairs
Essential Criteria:
- Holding a Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent Trade Qualification)
- Completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program
- Previous experience working with trucks or buses
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork
- Able to follow instructions and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to manage pressure and tight deadlines
- Possession of a current MR or HR licence (not essential)
Salary Estimate:
$70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
