We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Melbourne's CBD.

Job Description

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovative engineering solutions that champion architectural intent and sustainable design. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing detailed designs and specifications for structures.
  • Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that designs are feasible and practical, and that they meet project requirements and budget constraints.
  • Overseeing the construction process to ensure that designs are implemented correctly and that structures are built to specifications and standards.
  • Conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify and address any issues, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
  • Coordinating junior engineers and structural modellers, providing guidance and support as needed, and delegating tasks and responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A recognized Bachelor of Engineering degree.
  • Circa 7+ years of experience as a structural engineer in a consulting environment.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of local building codes and standards.
  • Extensive experience in the design and analysis of steel, precast concrete, reinforced concrete, and (ideally) PT concrete.
  • Strong site experience and exposure managing construction issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience liaising with a variety of project stakeholders.
