The Role Overview

  • DA Business Management: The successful candidate will manage the Delegated Authority business, ensuring efficient coordination between various functions and outsourcing partners.
  • Decision Making and Oversight: This role involves leading decision-making processes and overseeing the DA lifecycle, including onboarding, oversight and steering, and offboarding.
  • Performance Monitoring and Underwriting: The ideal candidate will coordinate with several functions and outsourcing partners to facilitate performance monitoring and underwriting KPI framework implementation.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: The Delegated Authority Manager will ensure ongoing control and mitigation of outsourcing risks within the 3 Lines of Defence model, adhering to internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: This role requires maintaining professional relationships with outsourcing partners, Munich Re business units, internal stakeholders, and across various committees.
  • Client Centricity: The successful candidate will promote client-centricity within the DA business management team, delivering the DA value proposition through negotiations with internal and external clients.
  • Strategic Support: This role involves supporting the Head of GLA in projects aimed at the strategic development of ERGO Group AG in the Australian market.

Your Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Delegated Authority/MGA business.
  • Excellent primary insurance experience, with background in distribution, business development, and outsourcing governance; understanding of reinsurance advantageous.
  • Good understanding of underwriting and product oversight.
  • A wide network in the Australian insurance market, especially towards MGAs.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and executives (e.g., Board, C-level).
  • A customer-centric mindset in dealing with outsourcing partners.
