Network Engineer Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the network security operations team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.


About the Job

The successful candidate will have experience in installing, configuring, and upgrading hardware, systems, and software for networks. They will also be responsible for managing network and security performance by monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting, and continuous improvement to optimize performance.


Responsibilities
  • Network Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade hardware, systems, and software for networks.
  • Network Performance Management: Monitor, troubleshoot, report, and continuously improve network and security performance to optimize performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify, analyze, and manage risk at every aspect of work.
  • Network Security: Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access.
  • Project Design and Architecture: Undertake project design and architecture work, including high-level and detailed design work.
  • Technical Consultation: Provide technical consultation to business and technology stakeholders to support relevant infrastructure partners and other business stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Coding Skills: Python scripting/coding (Intermediate) - primary importance.
  • DevOps Tools: Experience with BitBucket, Jenkins, JIRA, GitHub, Terraform, Vault.
  • Network Security: Operational expertise in networking, with experience in F5 load balancer, GTM/LTM, Firewalls (Juniper SRX, Fortinet FortiGate), and VMware NSX.
  • Data Management Skills: Data collection, schema binding, data manipulation, and analytical skills.
