Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Spiritual Care Coordinator to join our team at Brigidine House, a 30-bed home in Randwick. As a Spiritual Care Coordinator, you will provide effective pastoral care services to residents and their families, ensuring that residents receive spiritual care appropriate to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pastoral care services to residents and their families, including spiritual support and counseling.
- Work collaboratively with the service manager and staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Develop and implement individualized pastoral care plans for each resident.
- Provide a weekly Ecumenical Church service that caters to residents of all faiths.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care and well-being.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to spiritual care.
Requirements:
- Background and qualifications in pastoral care, clinical pastoral education, theology, or spirituality.
- Previous pastoral experience in an aged care environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate Catholic Healthcare's values of compassion, honesty, hospitality, respect, and excellence.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
- Exceptional planning skills and ability to complete computer-based pastoral care plans for each resident.
- Qualifications in counseling are desirable.
- Ability to provide a weekly Ecumenical Church service that caters to residents of all faiths.
- NDIS Check or willingness to obtain.
