We are seeking an experienced Geospatial Officer who can play a key role in supporting the delivery of our geospatial initiatives.

  • Perform field and office GIS data collection and entry in a versioned environment.
  • Provide advisory services to stakeholders on mapping queries, issues, and project needs.
  • Review completed GIS work for completeness and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement efficient processes using Python scripting and ArcGIS Flex API.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions upon approval.
  • Use critical thinking to plan and undertake data extraction and manipulation from corporate databases.
  • Perform spatial analysis and produce high-quality maps and reports for internal and external clients.
  • Process documentation to ISO standards and provide technical support to GIS users and team members.
  • Support training of staff in mapping software, data processing, and geospatial web services environments.

You will have a tertiary qualification in GIS, Computing Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, and/or equivalent experience. You should also have demonstrated experience with spatial analysis techniques and mapping, as well as programming skills in a GIS environment.
