Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Leidos Airborne Solutions Australia. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero-harm and incident/injury-free environment through active participation in all safety programs relevant to the position.
  • Aircraft Maintenance: Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, ensuring all aircraft maintenance, documentation, and certification are carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals, and responsible CAMO requirements.
  • Maintenance Planning: Plan, distribute, and oversee scheduled maintenance to ensure aircraft are airworthy and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise maintenance personnel and support apprentices when required, ensuring a high level of technical expertise and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure all maintenance records are completed and certified correctly by authorized personnel prior to CRS issue.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures, and perform any other duties as directed by the SBE.
Requirements
  • Essential Qualifications: Experienced LAME B2 or dual licensed, heavy and line maintenance experience, and ability to attend a DHC8 Classic Type course if not already held.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Confined Space training, current First Aid Certificate, Forklift license, and DHC8 Classic type rating.
