At Airborne Solutions Australia, we are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team in Broome. This is a unique opportunity to work in a remote location with a lifestyle balanced roster of 6 days on, 6 days off.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision and certification of aircraft maintenance on behalf of Airborne Solutions Australia Engineering. This includes ensuring all aircraft maintenance, documentation, and certification are carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals, and responsible CAMO requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B2) and heavy and line maintenance experience. A DHC8 Classic Type course is also a requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hold safety as a core value and contribute to the achievement of a zero harm and incident/injury free environment
  • Perform the duties of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
  • Ensure all aircraft maintenance, documentation, and certification are carried out and completed in line with the MOE, procedures manuals, and responsible CAMO requirements
  • Plan, distribute, and oversee scheduled maintenance
  • Perform, implement, and maintain any required shift/task handovers
  • Supervise maintenance personnel and support apprentices when required
  • Ensure all maintenance certified is carried out in line with maintenance data
  • Complex maintenance tasks are certified by an authorized Certifying Employee
  • Maintenance and associated maintenance records are completed and certified correctly by an authorized Certifying Employee prior to CRS issue
  • Ensure critical maintenance tasks are completed with applicable control procedure prior to issue of a CRS
  • Ensure maintenance is completed, certified, or deferred in line with the MOE prior to CRS issue
  • Responsible for the general condition and upkeep of the hangar and workshop
  • Compliance to the FRMS and WHSMSM policies and procedures
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the SBE
Requirements:
  • Experienced LAME B2 or dual licensed
  • Heavy and line maintenance experience
  • Able to attend a DHC8 Classic Type course if not already held
