CNC Machinist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of CNC mills, EDM and wirecutting machines to produce high-quality parts that meet the manufacturing schedule.

The CNC Machinist will use computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to create complex toolpaths to ensure parts are manufactured to the required specification. They must also perform troubleshooting of the machines to ensure they are functioning optimally.

Our ideal candidate will review and validate CAM programs and manufactured parts by coordinate measuring machine (CMM) inspection.

Main Responsibilities:
  • CAM Programming: Creation of complex CAM strategies, set up and safe operation of CNC machines and other precision machining equipment
  • Mould/Tool/& Equipment Manufacturing: Machining, finishing, assembly, and testing
  • Project Support: Defining performance specifications or functional requirements for new tooling projects
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation on all assigned tasks, as and when required
  • Process Management: Following process and work instructions to ensure safe, repeatable, and quality results
  • Troubleshooting: Analyzing and taking appropriate steps throughout the life of the project and associated tasks to minimize risk to the company
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe manner and meet legislative requirements, company policies, and ISO standards
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring customer's products and tooling are capable of being manufactured, supplied, and supported in an efficient manner
  • Team Collaboration: Supporting team members to achieve set goals and objectives and working to continue to grow and develop a positive team-based culture
  • Continuous Improvement: Assisting in continuous improvement projects by evaluating processes and making recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and cost
  • Quality Control: Performing pre-delivery inspection processes to ensure highest quality tooling projects are delivered safely to our clients across the globe
