About North East Link
The North East Link project is Victoria's biggest road project, and the Spark Consortium has been selected to deliver its Central Package. The consortium's Design and Construction Contractor will be responsible for delivering twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges.
As a Site Engineer with this role, you will be part of the SEM Tunnels team, working on a significant infrastructure project that will close the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network. This will reduce journey times and divert heavy vehicles away from local roads.

To succeed in this role, you will need 2+ years of experience as a Site Engineer, a willingness to expand your skillset, and a passion for tunneling. You should also have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Mining Engineering and specific experience of Tunneling/SEM excavation techniques.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and management of daily cost reporting
- Providing on-site engineering support to achieve project objectives
- Monitoring key construction requirements and implementing corrective action if required
- SITE mobilisation and setup for SEM works, including plant procurement and installation experience and piling
- Writing method statements, risk assessments and preparing site records
- Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities
A minimum requirement for this role is a Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural or Mining Engineering. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage but not essential. Previous experience in similar roles is also desirable.
