Job Description
The Product Owner role involves contributing to product outcomes by ensuring that the requirements of the business and the needs of end-users are clearly articulated to the development team. This ensures that developed solutions meet all stakeholders' needs and align with strategic goals.
As a Product Owner, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure that products deliver value to customers in line with agreed delivery roadmaps.
Responsibilities- Achieve specific business value and product outcomes through the design and delivery of customer-focused solutions.
- Be the voice of the business within the development team, providing strategic direction and clarity of purpose.
- Execute excellence in Agile methodology, building constructive and professional relationships to engage and influence across the organisation.
- Work closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams to define scope and measures of success.
- Engage with stakeholders from across the business to ensure the suitability, compliance, and success of proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, SMEs, and development teams to create clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participate actively in ceremonies with the Scrum Master, Change Delivery Manager, and the Enablement Team.
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies between backlog items and multiple stakeholders.
- Deliver prioritised initiatives optimally and on time in conjunction with leaders across Technology, Digital, Product, and Claims & Assessing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
- Good communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge and/or experience of General Insurance or Financial Services is highly regarded.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications are desirable.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform product decisions and drive results.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
