The Advanced Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker is responsible for leading components of the program to reduce middle ear disease and conductive hearing loss for Indigenous children across Queensland.
This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to plan and deliver specialist outreach services to Indigenous children with middle ear disease, hearing loss, and associated speech and developmental concerns.
Key responsibilities include providing ear and hearing assessments, supporting nursing, ENT, audiological, speech, and occupational therapy consultations and procedures.
