Advanced Health Worker Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culturally Safe Care: Delivering effective clinical care to the Metro South Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, addressing drug and alcohol challenges.
  • Health Education and Support: Providing guidance and support to both clients and health professionals, enhancing their understanding of mental health and substance use.
  • Care Coordination: Engaging effectively with individuals and families to ensure continuity of care and support their navigation through the health system.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need strong communication skills, the ability to build trustful relationships, and experience working within multidisciplinary teams focused on mental health and substance use care. Cultural knowledge and the capacity to provide culturally safe care that aligns with the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards are also essential.
