About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Media Operations Engineer to join our team at Optus Sport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our Broadcast Platforms and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage live media operations, ensuring seamless execution of our streaming platform.
  • Work closely with internal engineering and operations teams to deliver high service levels for our match fixtures.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical and operational issues during and outside of live broadcasts, ensuring system availability and function is maintained.
  • Implement quality control measures and actions to maintain and improve audio and video output.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to address technical failures or other critical incidents.
  • Provide guidance and support to engineering colleagues, system operators, and other areas within Optus Sport.
Requirements
  • Ability to manage day-to-day activities of Live Media operations, ensuring all broadcast or production activities run smoothly and according to schedule.
  • Proficiency in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on broadcast equipment.
  • Expertise in quickly diagnosing and resolving technical issues that may arise during live broadcasts or production.
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of audio and video output.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance activities, and technical specifications.
