Job Title: Senior Media Operations Specialist

At Optus, we are seeking a skilled Senior Media Operations Specialist to oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our Broadcast Platforms and systems.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with our team to deliver high service levels for our match fixtures. As a Senior Media Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing live media operations, preparing for future operations tasks, and assisting with system engineering support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage live media operations, ensuring all broadcast or production activities run smoothly and according to schedule.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on broadcast equipment, including servers, routers, switchers, monitors, and other hardware.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues that may arise during live broadcasts or production, minimizing downtime and ensuring minimal impact on operations.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of audio and video output, including monitoring signal integrity and video/audio levels.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance activities, and technical specifications.
  • Prepare reports as needed to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate new equipment and software solutions, making recommendations for adoption as appropriate.
