Role Overview

The Superintendent of Concentrator Projects will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects, as well as the development of strategic initiatives aligned with business objectives.

This role requires collaboration across all organizational levels to facilitate effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and risk management, ensuring successful project delivery. The position involves leading a professional team across mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines and project supervision resources. This is a permanent position based locally with a balanced work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  2. Promote a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  3. Plan and allocate resources effectively for project execution while addressing stakeholder needs.
  4. Communicate the annual capital portfolio and develop strategic plans for future projects.
  5. Lead a team to provide project support and technical expertise to the Concentrator departments.
  6. Manage team performance, career development, and succession planning.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Proven leadership and collaboration skills focused on capital project delivery.
  2. Ability to operate strategically and operationally, with a clear vision for team engagement and stakeholder management.
  3. Extensive experience in planning and executing capital projects.
  4. Strong project management skills and experience in developing strategic plans.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of influencing diverse operational stakeholders.
  6. Clear and open communication style, both internally and externally.
  7. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field; RPEQ qualification preferred.
  8. 7-10 years of industry experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably overseeing capital project delivery.
