The Victorian Auditor-General's Office is an integral part of Victoria's accountability system, working independently to ensure the government is held accountable through financial and performance audits.

">Auditors in our Financial Audit team are collaborative employees with the ability to balance rigour and innovation in their approach to work. They directly contribute to the delivery of financial audits and business improvement projects, driven by the challenge of promoting continuous improvement in the Victorian public sector.
">What You'll Do">
Auditors at our office are collaborative employees with the ability to balance rigour and innovation in their approach to work. As team members, they directly contribute to the delivery of financial audits and assist on business improvement projects as required.
">About You">
- Effectively communicates technical concepts to a range of stakeholders, using clear and accurate explanations.
- Uses initiative and sound judgment when undertaking projects and responding to issues.
- Processes technical concepts comfortably, using analytical skills and professional skepticism to reason through problems.
- Promotes a culture of inquiry by sharing knowledge and learning.
- Establishes and maintains relationships in an adaptive and professional manner.
- Proactively reports emerging issues, risks, and opportunities.
Experience and Qualifications">
- Has a sound working knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards, legislative requirements.
- Holds tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Science, Technology, Economics, or Mathematics.
- Experience in auditing, complex investigations, inquiries, or reviews is desirable.
- Currently undertaking or holds a qualification that confers membership to CPA Australia, CAANZ, or the IPA.
