About The Area

The Media and Public Relations Unit plays a pivotal role in fostering trust, connection, and pride at the university. As part of the Advancement and Communications Division, the team amplifies the institution's reputation by connecting journalists with world-class experts, generating influential coverage, and showcasing its contributions to society.

This involves producing high-quality content across owned channels, hosting roundtables, shaping press events, and developing original ideas to engage diverse audiences. The team ensures the institution is seen, heard, and trusted on issues that matter.

 

About The Role

We seek a skilled communicator and relationship builder who excels in networking, building connections, and identifying opportunities to showcase the institution's expertise and impact.

As a Media and Public Relations Specialist, you will drive proactive media campaigns that amplify the institution's leadership, innovation, and societal impact. You will also build thought leadership opportunities for academics and executives across national and international platforms.

You will craft compelling stories that resonate with journalists and diverse audiences. Additionally, you will provide expert coaching and guidance to spokespeople, helping them shine in high-profile settings.

Contributing directly to the institution's strategic plan, you will ensure a strong, unified voice across all media channels.
