Nurse - Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse to join our healthcare team in Charters Towers.
Key Responsibilities:- To assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients with various medical conditions
- To administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by the medical team
- To triage and assess patient vital signs and overall health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers
- To provide high-quality patient care through Health Assessments and other initiatives
- ECG, Audiometry & Spirometry, Immunisation - Travel & Childhood clinics, Cold Chain Management, Infection Control, Recalls and Reminders
- To manage abnormal test results
- To maintain accurate patient medical records in compliance with regulatory standards
- To monitor vaccine fridges, oversee stock control, order medical supplies, manage emergency drugs and vaccines
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a general medical or similar nursing role
- Excellent communication skills, with a patient-centered approach
- Strong clinical skills, including medication administration, wound care, and patient monitoring
