Chief Estimating Officer

We are seeking an experienced Estimation Director to lead our team in Sydney, AU.
- Lead the end-to-end estimation process for construction projects.
- Develop detailed cost estimates from conceptual estimating through to first principles.
- Drive a common way of working across teams, including consistent capture of data to drive decision making.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate pricing and scope data.
- Maintain and enhance the central estimating database and norms, while staying current with market trends and cost factors.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a lead/director-level role with estimating within transmission, mining, oil & gas, clean energy, or broader natural resources sectors. They will also have strong technical proficiency in Candy, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Navisworks.
Key Skills and Qualifications:- Degree in a relevant field such as engineering, architecture, or quantity surveying.
- At least 10 years of experience in estimation and project management.
- Strong technical knowledge of estimation software and systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
