We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Coordinator to join our team at Mission Australia's Darwin Sobering Up Shelter. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the shelter, providing quality care to clients, and overseeing key operational functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee shelter services, ensuring clients receive safe and supportive care during their recovery process.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to staff to meet best practices in service delivery and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Assist with stock and inventory management, maintain accurate records in MA Connect, and support the Program Manager with various administrative tasks.
  • Conduct intake assessments, support frontline staff, and ensure culturally sensitive and respectful client interactions that contribute to their health and wellbeing.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and be available for on-call responsibilities, taking on a full week every 4-6 weeks to ensure operational continuity.
Requirements for Success

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated professional approach to the role including maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Sound verbal and written skills to document case plan outcomes and advocate for the best interest of the client.
  • Strong computer literacy skills with ability to learn new software programs quickly.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain would be desired.
  • Highly developed administrative skills and the ability to provide support to management.
  • Proven time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with inspiring can-do attitude.
  • Full driver licence with no restrictions.
