As a Dispenser, you will be instrumental in supporting pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Working within our stores, you will contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with patients by actively listening to their needs and providing personalized support. From greeting customers to dispensing prescriptions and ensuring the safe sale of medicines, you will play a vital role in promoting patient health and wellness.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires you to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for:

  • Dispensing prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to patients on medicines and referring queries to pharmacists when necessary
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
  • Staying up-to-date with new innovations in store and adhering to operational processes
  • Supporting patients to manage their prescriptions effectively, promote adherence, and reduce waste

With access to regular updates and training, you will develop your healthcare knowledge and skills. Additionally, you will have opportunities to pursue career advancement, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or joining our store leadership team.

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Completion of the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or be currently working towards it, alongside completion of the first year of an MPharm qualification
  • Valid UK right to work, with this role not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa
