Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to lead the design and development of high-performance user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can drive collaboration, evolve architecture, and champion best practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to scope, define, and deliver impactful features
  • Evaluate and improve Canva's frontend architecture through reusable component libraries and shared design systems
  • Advocate for accessibility, performance, and engineering excellence across multiple product surfaces
  • Write robust, well-tested code and proactively identify areas for technical improvement or refactoring
  • Mentor peers, guide design and code reviews, and raise the technical bar for your team

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in building complex applications using modern frontend technologies (React and TypeScript)
  • Strong JavaScript fundamentals and a deep understanding of the web platform
  • Able to take ownership of features from start to finish and thrive in environments where you drive innovation
  • Balance attention to detail with pragmatism, consistently shipping quality code at speed
  • Effective collaborator who works well across disciplines and brings others on board
  • Understand how your work connects to product goals, user experience, and long-term scalability
  • Possess a growth mindset, enjoy mentoring others, and lifting the technical bar for your team
