Your opportunity
We are looking for a skilled full stack Developer to join our dynamic team at Newstead, Hamilton.
You will be responsible for the full software development cycle, designing, developing, and supporting a diverse portfolio of products.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with a diverse team of experts to shape and deliver scalable solutions that drive our business toward our goals.
From enhancing on-farm-tool experiences to optimising corporate systems, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects that directly impact the efficiency and productivity of dairy farmers and our business operations.
Reporting to the Enterprise Architect, you will support the Digital Technologies team and be responsible for:
Work across the full software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to evaluate business requirements.
Participate in the design and evaluation of proposed software solutions
Create and maintain technical documentation required for the delivery and ongoing support of developed solutions.
Monitor, analyse, and resolve issues raised by end-users.
Manage and operate software development toolsets and frameworks.
Contribute to the development of standards and guidelines.
About you
This position is for a tech-savvy individual with a passion for problem-solving and innovation.
A team player and trusted advisor, able to provide support and advice to others with a positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate.
You have experience developing web applications and APIs using C# and JavaScript front-end framework in cloud environments, along with relevant qualifications and/or over three years of experience in software development.
The successful applicant will have:
A minimum of 3 years' experience as a .
NET developer or in a similar/related role.
A tertiary qualification in Computer Science - BSc in Computer Science, BEng, or other equivalent degree would be beneficial but not essential.
A good understanding of Object-Oriented design patterns and when to use them.
Comprehensive understanding MVC and Web Services development.
Sound C# development experience – but exposure to other programming /scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, C++, Java, R, PowerShell, etc. would be beneficial.
Experience with CSS and modern JavaScript and/or TypeScript front-end technologies and frameworks, in particular Angular.
Understanding of relational databases and SQL.
Experienced with development tooling such as Git, Bicep, Azure DevOps and Resource Management templates, Teraform, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
