- Proactively guide and prioritize risk management activities within the business, setting measurable goals and examining ways to raise standards and improve overall risk management efforts.
- Apply a strong understanding of regional regulatory requirements to risk assessments and recommendations.
- Lead and assist the business in developing, implementing, and managing short- and long-term risk management strategies in accordance with department goals and objectives.
- Work with the business to mitigate risks and optimize process efficiency, using industry best practice knowledge to design effective controls and make recommendations for developing new risk management strategies.
- Develop strong relationships across the enterprise to understand stakeholder needs and risks, building credibility as a thought partner.
- Assess the design of existing controls and make recommendations, leveraging industry best practice for improvement as needed.
- Minimum of five years related work experience, with two years experience in risk management.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- Chartered Financial Analyst or Chartered Accountant.
