Forensic Accounting Professional

This role involves conducting and preparing a wide range of financial analyses with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have strong analytical, creative, investigative, research, and organizational skills, as well as familiarity with various concepts, practices, and procedures in forensic accounting.

  • Key Responsibilities: Conduct and perform forensic financial analyses, build models, maintain documents produced in insurance and some litigation, summarize depositions, assist in report writing, and perform quality control procedures on schedules and reports.
  • Leadership Skills: Direct staff, instruct them in work to be performed, review their completed work, and direct any necessary revisions or actions.
  • Decision Making: Make decisions on all but the most unusual or complex matters.
  • Problem Solving: Discuss and outline problems/issues with a Senior Manager, Director, or Partner and then act on the preferred advice.
  • Timelines and Management: Determine engagement timelines, in conjunction with the engagement lead, and instruct assistants in time management methods allowing them to efficiently and effectively accomplish the Firm's objectives.
  • Fraud Investigation: Assume responsibility for all project phases related to the investigation of fraud, forensic accounting, or malfeasance. Apply insights and knowledge of fraud and investigation issues and processes to enable clients to solve complex, sensitive matters.
  • Project Management: Manage day-to-day project activities; establish appropriate leverage on project teams and assign/manage project responsibilities to team members.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Business Development: Participate in Firm business development efforts, including the development of presentations, proposals, and qualifications packages.
  • Presentation: Represent the Firm at business and community functions to maintain current, acquire new, and expand existing client relationships.
  • Certifications: A record of progressively increasing knowledge, skill, responsibility, and independence is required.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
  • CA, ACCA, CPA, CFE, or other related certification is required.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, communication skills, and solid Microsoft Suite skills are required.
  • Experience with data analytics and Tableau, Power BI, or PowerPivot is a plus.
