Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Transportation Program Director to lead our transportation business group in driving strategy and managing delivery of program management services across all market sectors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth in program management services
  • Implement and refine program management processes and systems
  • Coordinate staffing on relevant projects/programs for the transportation business group
  • Oversight on large programs, including occasional lead or principal role
  • Assist strategic and tactical pursuits specific to large programs
  • Develop and mentor staff in program management and other areas
  • Develop a strategic growth plan, identify staffing needs, and manage recruiting efforts with metrics for program success
  • Direct efforts to utilize staff and enhance overall success of program management services within the company
  • Coordinate with company-wide program management director and other business groups to optimize strategy, services, quality control, and client service

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience leading and managing large transportation programs within a similar context
  • A track record as a program builder and mentor to develop a strong program management portfolio, combined with business development, presentations, and client advisory capabilities
  • Significant travel (often >50% of time) and ability to communicate with technical and non-technical personnel across a matrixed organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management/science or equivalent
  • Professional registration or PE license a plus
  • 20+ years experience with a strong background in leading transportation projects
  • Proven experience as a program manager on large program delivery projects
  • Experience leading and managing staff in program management; comfortable with high travel volume
  • Ability to manage multiple projects for a variety of clients
  • Strong leadership skills in multi-tasking, organization, team-building, and problem-solving
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with technical and non-technical personnel; ability to participate in high-level client presentations
