Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

The role of the Senior Financial Analyst is crucial in driving business growth through effective financial management. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and providing strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

This position requires a high degree of autonomy, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial principles, regulations, and software systems.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparation of financial reports and statements, including balance sheets and income statements\
  • Analysis of financial data, including cash flow, profit, and loss statements\
  • Identification of areas for cost savings and process improvements\
  • Development and implementation of financial models and forecasts\
  • Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records and databases\
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives\
  • Adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards\
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in financial legislation and best practices\
  • Providing training and support to team members on financial procedures and systems\
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures\
  • Participating in budget planning and forecasting\
  • Contributing to the development of business strategies and plans\
  • Reviewing and analyzing vendor contracts and agreements\
  • Performing other related duties as required\

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance\
  • CPA or CA qualification preferred\
  • 3+ years experience in public accounting or similar role\
  • Solid understanding of Australian tax regulations\
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Quick Books)\
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills\
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team\
  • Audit and analysis skills\
  • Proven track record of delivering results and meeting deadlines\
  • Certifications in Microsoft Office or equivalent\
