About the Role

The Company: Our clients, a leading National Fashion Retailer, is seeking a Design Manager who is proactive, confident, and passionate about managing the design process for continual growth and store development.

The Role

The Design Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of new stores, fit-outs, and refurbishments on time and within design guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce preliminary feasibility floorplans and shopfronts
  • Produce full tender and construction drawing sets (finishes details, fixturing breakdown, site set out, construction details, electrical, signage, etc)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and drive drawings approval
  • Drive external drawings approval (RDM, centre requirements, etc)
  • Order and coordinate signage, lighting, and other supplied fit-out items where required
  • Tender administration support
  • Maintain up-to-date store development files (site plans, feasibilities, correspondence, photos, fixturing, finishes, etc)
  • Continuously collaborate with brands to understand logic and maintain agreed store design principles document
  • Regular reporting on the status of project drawings and related approvals
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Confident in using Autocad and Sketchup
  • Excel proficient
  • Highly organized
  • Proactive and collaborative work approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently when required
  • Ability to prioritize requests and manage workload
