Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to provide engineering and technical services to support the safety, reliability, integrity, and long-term value of our Gas Transmission Asset Class.

  • Lead asset performance and integrity reviews to ensure safety, reliability, and resilience in our operational infrastructure.
  • Develop opportunity briefs to clarify challenges and highlight innovative solutions for managing Integrity and value realization of E&I Equipment.
  • Guide options assessments to evaluate the smartest path forward for project delivery.
  • Develop clear scopes of work to inform project and maintenance planning, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Support front-end engineering and project design with practical expert insight, driving efficient and safe outcomes.
  • Design and evolve maintenance strategies and documentation that meet compliance standards and reflect our commitment to operational excellence.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and bring people along, as great engineering happens through teamwork, respect, and shared purpose.

Key Requirements:

  • Solid experience in a safety-critical industry, ideally energy or utilities, with a strong working knowledge of Australian regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • A proven ability to manage technical risk, compliance, and integrity across complex systems, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Experience working in or with energy utilities or service providers, with insight into the contractor market, is highly desirable.
  • An ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and engage non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent), with a strong understanding of technical regulatory frameworks and their application to asset management.
  • An advanced analytical and systems-thinking mindset, with a people-oriented, collaborative approach to problem-solving and project delivery.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, safety, and innovation, with a focus on delivering exceptional outcomes.
