Senior Web Development Manager

As a key member of our team, your primary objective will be to support the growth and development of web engineers, ensuring they are productive and motivated. You will lead a team of experienced engineers with technical expertise and a solid foundation in web development.

This role involves demonstrating sound engineering principles by directly contributing to team objectives, estimating work, setting goals, and achieving them. You will design and implement well-tested and documented software in web technologies or Flutter, debug and fix issues encountered by users, participate in code and architectural reviews, collaborate with colleagues on technical specifications, contribute to technical documentation, seek improvements to engineering practices, deploy and operate services developed by the team, and contribute to product success through technical advocacy.

We are seeking an individual knowledgeable and passionate about web and software development, who values soft skills and is driven, enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated. The ideal candidate has a strong academic record, an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, drive, and a track record of going above and beyond expectations, excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability, and experience designing and writing high-quality web technologies.

Requirements include:

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about web and software development
  • Value soft skills and are driven, enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated
  • Strong academic record from both high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling narrative about your alternative path
  • Drive and a track record of going above and beyond expectations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
  • Experience designing and writing high-quality web technologies
  • Passion for Typescript, React, or Flutter
  • Eye for accessibility and performance
  • Professional written and spoken English
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
