Senior Assurance Quality Manager

About the Organization & Role: Our client is a leading Tier-1 Financial Institution in Australia, recognized for its robust 'three lines of defence' framework. This position serves as a pivotal 'Change Leader' within their 2LoD Risk Assurance Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a 'Risk Transformation Innovator'. Redefine the quality benchmarks of 2nd Line Risk Assurance across SOX Prudential, Operational Risk, Compliance, and Project sectors, aligning with regulatory updates and advancing risk management methodologies.
- Revamp the 2nd Line Risk Assurance procedures, spearheading the development of methodologies, training programs, and quality frameworks.
- Function as a 'Project Coordinator', overseeing annual assurance evaluations and any transformation initiatives, including Analytics & Automation strategies.
- Conduct independent assessments and evaluations throughout the 'change' process, consistently challenging existing practices.
- Ensure the Risk and Compliance Assurance Manual is regularly updated, confirming that tools and methods are suitable for their intended purposes.
- Be accountable for managing stakeholder relationships across the three lines of defence up to Head-of level, ensuring all parties fulfill their roles in enhancing risk frameworks and implementation.
- Continuously monitor trends and common practices adopted by industry peers.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Financial Services, with backgrounds in assurance, risk & compliance, quality assurance, practice management, or process optimization.
- Proven ability to standardize and enhance controls in an effective and efficient manner.
- Exceptional project coordination skills to successfully plan, implement, and drive change & transformation within a complex Tier-1 financial institution.
- Potential leadership capabilities to recruit and manage a dedicated team.
- Technical skills in data analytics, business intelligence, and automation are advantageous.
